San Diego Foundation and Myriad USA
The San Diego Foundation, a trusted leader in local philanthropy, faced a challenge when one of their major corporate donors wanted to expand its giving internationally. Historically, international grantmaking had been difficult for the Foundation, but that all changed when they partnered with Myriad USA, a leader in cross-border philanthropy.
Together, they have enabled San Diego Foundation donors to grant nearly $1.9 million internationally, supporting a wide range of causes. These include science workshops for schools in Canada, breastfeeding support programs in England, HPV awareness campaigns in Kenya, and disaster relief efforts in response to the Turkey-Syria earthquakes and the war in Ukraine.
What makes this collaboration stand out is Myriad USA’s ability to connect donors with trusted local organizations around the world, ensuring that resources go directly to those who need them most.
