The DAF Giving Summit Awards recognize the individuals, advisors, organizations, and partnerships driving meaningful progress across the donor-advised fund ecosystem.
More than a recognition program, these awards are designed to help shape the future of philanthropy by highlighting scalable innovation, fostering deeper collaboration, and showcasing measurable impact. Through these awards, we celebrate those who are advancing charitable giving, improving philanthropic outcomes, and creating models that inspire the broader philanthropic community.
Award Eligibility & Timeline
Award Eligibility Window: January 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026
Nomination Deadline: Friday, July 24, 2026
All awards will recognize impact demonstrated during the eligibility period. Nominations are welcome from donors, advisors, sponsoring organizations, nonprofit partners, and philanthropic leaders whose work has contributed to meaningful charitable outcomes.

The Spark Impact Award
Overview
The Spark Impact Award recognizes a donor—and, where applicable, their financial and/or philanthropic advisor—for a donor-advised fund contribution that directly enables a highly impactful grant.
This award celebrates the catalytic moments when philanthropy transforms ideas into action and funding into meaningful outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
- The grant must be executed within the award eligibility window.
- The originating contribution may have been made prior to the eligibility window.
Examples of Impact
Eligible nominations may include:
- Seed funding that launched a scalable or high-impact initiative
- Rapid-response funding deployed during a crisis or humanitarian emergency
- Contributions of innovative or non-cash assets, such as real estate, business interests, or cryptocurrency, that generated significant charitable value
- Strategic philanthropic investments that unlocked additional funding or accelerated systemic change
Collaborative Excellence Award
Overview
The Collaborative Excellence Award honors an exceptional partnership between a DAF program and a partner organization that together achieved greater impact than either could have independently.
This award recognizes the power of collaboration to expand philanthropic reach, improve efficiency, and create lasting outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Partnerships may span multiple years.
- Recognition is based on measurable impact achieved during the eligibility window.
Examples of Collaboration
Strong nominations may demonstrate:
- Streamlined grantmaking processes that accelerated nonprofit growth and scaling
- Co-developed funding models, including matching challenges or impact investment initiatives
- Donor engagement strategies that increased participation and long-term giving
- Data-sharing frameworks that improved transparency and impact measurement

Advisor Innovation & Impact Award
Overview
The Advisor Innovation & Impact Award recognizes wealth advisors and philanthropic advisors who demonstrate exceptional innovation, collaboration, and measurable impact in advancing client philanthropy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Demonstrated innovation or collaboration resulting in measurable philanthropic outcomes during the eligibility window
- Evidence of increased charitable giving, catalytic funding, or expanded donor engagement
Examples — Wealth Advisors
- Integrating philanthropy into sophisticated wealth, tax, and estate planning strategies
- Structuring DAF-funded impact investments aligned with client goals
- Coordinating multi-advisor strategies that connect wealth transfer planning with charitable intent
- Facilitating multi-generational philanthropic engagement and family giving

- Designing catalytic grantmaking strategies that unlock matching funds or partnerships

DAF Innovation Leadership Award
Overview
The DAF Innovation Leadership Award recognizes a DAF sponsoring organization that has introduced meaningful innovation in technology, programs, partnerships, or operations that enhance both donor experience and philanthropic outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Innovations may have been launched before the eligibility window.
- Impact must be clearly demonstrated during the eligibility period.
Examples of Innovation
Eligible innovations may include:
- Digital platforms that improve donor experience, accessibility, or grant execution
- New program structures that increase efficiency, transparency, or engagement
- Strategic partnerships that expand access to charitable giving opportunities
- Operational improvements that measurably increase philanthropic effectiveness
Philanthropic Impact Award
Overview
The Philanthropic Impact Award recognizes a philanthropic initiative that demonstrates meaningful charitable impact through leadership, generosity, innovation, community engagement, or collaboration.
This award celebrates transformative efforts that strengthen communities, inspire others, and advance the practice of philanthropy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Demonstrated philanthropic impact during the eligibility window
- Impact may be reflected through giving, leadership, volunteerism, advocacy, collaboration, community mobilization, or innovative approaches to philanthropy
Examples of Impact
Eligible nominations may include:
- Launching or leading a significant charitable initiative or campaign
- Demonstrating sustained commitment to a cause or community
- Inspiring broader donor participation and community engagement
- Advancing innovative approaches to philanthropy and charitable giving
